Melanie Brown gave birth to a a healthy baby girl just after midnight at a hospital in Santa Monica. The former Spice Girl and new daughter were said to be doing fine, a spokeswoman said:"The baby is completely healthy with a good head of hair. Mother and baby are now resting.
No name has been decided on as yet, and she is purely known as Baby Brown."
The pregnancy has been over shadowed by the very public break up between Mel B and Eddie Murphy, as he denied being the father and dumped Melanie via Dutch TV. Friends of Scary Spice said she was fuming and will yet get her revenge, which could mean selling her story to the highest American bidder if she wanted.
The new baby will have plenty of company around the home with Mel's eight-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi.
