Madonna To Perform At Super Bowl 2012

It has been revealed that Madonna will be singing during the half time section of the 2012 Super Bowl Final, eight years after Janet Jackson suffered a 'wardrobe malfunction' during the same event when as she sang with Justin Timberlake.

Although Madonna has been quiet lately on the music scene, the 53 year old singer is expected to make an explosive return with her next single 'Masterpiece' - which is expected to be on her new album and forms part of the soundtrack for her film W.E.

Madonna will perform on Sunday 5th February 2012 at the Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, with a massive global audience and 111 million tuning in from the USA last year, it will be the perfect promotion for W.E. - which will be released two days before.

Madonna Faints On Stage In Bulgaria

Sensational video footage of Madonna fainting on stage during her Sticky & Sweet show in Sofia, Bulgaria has appeared on The Sun website today and clearly shows the Queen of Pop becomes unconscious while a backing dancer tries to awaken her. Madonna then comes back to life and continues with the single 'Holiday'.

Robbie Williams Confirms X Factor

Robbie Williams will be appearing on the new series of X factor this autumn, and that has been confirmed by the man himself on his website. A statement read, "We're very excited to tell you that this is true." and the former Take That singer is expected to perform his new single 'Reality Killed The Video Star', ahead of it's release in November.



Reports have suggested that Robbie Williams and Madonna will act as coaches during the new series of X Factor with further announcements set for release soon.

A Tale Of Two Divorces - Madonna v Katie Price

Over the past year the media have been full of stories about the divorce of Katie Price and Peter Andre and Madonna and Guy Richie. Yet it has been 'A Tale of Two Divorces' as the two couples couldn't be further apart when it comes to milking the press.

You can not open a magazine or switch the TV without seeing either Katie or Andre dishing the dirt on each other in a very public way, while in stark contrast - Madonna and Guy have been totally dignified during the very traumatic situation.

Madonna and Guy Richie are perfect examples of how a famous couple should treat divorce. While dealing with estates and children, the pair have been adult and dignified throughout - no big exclusives, no kiss and tell stories. Even though they are now divorced, Madonna and Guy remain good friends and no doubt will always have a special relationship even though the marriage didn't work out.

The divorce of Katie Price and Peter Andre looks like being anything but private, with a media circus set to follow their every move. Invited by both, the world will get to read big exclusives while both kiss and tell until the interest dries up. Talking of drying up, it looks like their love for each other has totally died - without any chance of reconciliation.

PICTURES: Madonna Reveals Scary Arms

Madonna looks bad in these pictures as she was captured on camera showing off her arm muscles, but in all fairness she does workout for 2 hours most days. Even so Madonna's arms do look scary, but I wouldn't want to arm wrestle the 50 year old singer.

Madonna is back in London with her children Lourdes, 12, Rocco, 8, David Banda, 3, and new addition Mercy, 4, after travelling around Europe with her 'Sticky And Sweet Tour'.

Madonna and Jesus Luz 'Split'

Madonna and toy-boy Jesus Luz have split because Madonna has no time for a relationship, according to newspaper reports. The 22 year-old model was jealous of Madonna's continued friendship with former husband Guy Richie but is said to be trying to hold on to Madonna, even though they have had separate hotel rooms during Madonna's European Tour.

Man Dies After Madonna's Stage Collapses

A man died and several others have been injured at the Madonna concert in Marseille France at the 60,000 seater Stade Velodrome. Technicians were preparing the venue for the Madonna gig when the stage collapsed, around a dozen people were working underneath the structure at the time.

Two people were critically injured with others hurt as the roof of the stage toppled one of the four cranes lifting it. Both dates at the French venue have now been cancelled and fans will have to await updates to find out when Madonna will return to France, as part of her 'Sticky and Sweet' Tour.

Naked Madonna and Guy Painting For Sale

This Madonna and Guy Richie painting is up for auction this Saturday in Glasgow and could fetch £22,000. While Madonna may not be a fan of the 2005 painting by Scottish artist Peter Howson, his work has generated a lot of interest since the couple split up.

"It's awful. She looks like an ageing transvestite and Guy looks like a cross between a football hooligan and a pervert," says one source close to the couple. Question is - would you hang this picture up in your home?

Madonna To Release Another Greatest Hits

Madonna will be releasing yet another Greatest Hits album in September as she parts company from Warner Records, bringing their 27 year partnership to an end. Fans can expect new material on the collection because Madonna is heading back into the studio, Guy Oseary asked fans on Twitter which tunes they think should be included.

Previously Madonna released The Immaculate Collection in 1990 and GHV2 in 2001 but this next Greatest Hits brings down the curtain on her time at Warner - selling over 200 million albums over the years. The singer signed a $120 million (£86.6m) deal with concert promoter Live Nation, according to the press.

Madonna was ranked the highest earning artist in the United States according to a chart printed in the LA Times. Ticket sales from concerts, albums and downloads were all included in the figures released this week. The Top 10 featured established artists like Celine Dion, Bruce Springsteen and The Eagles as well as British band Coldplay.

UK Charts: Top 10 Singles of 2008

X Factor's Alexandra Burke has the best selling single of 2008, according to the official chart listed below. Her version of 'Hallelujah' sold a staggering 888,000 copies in just two weeks, but it will mean no single sold more than a million copies during 2008. The shift towards downloads and albums continues as CD sales dropped during the year.

Alexandra Burke was also #2 with the other X Factor finalists single 'Hero', selling 751,000 copies and clearly ahead of Welsh singer Duffy, who sold 536,000 copies of her single 'Mercy'. Madonna managed to gain an entry in the chart at #9 with '4 Minutes'.

Take That: The Circus Sells A Million Copies

Take That will end 2008 as the Kings of Pop after it was confirmed their new album 'The Circus' has sold 1 million copies since it was released almost two weeks ago. It has become the fastest selling album of the 21st century and the second fastest selling album of all time.

By the end of next week, Take That will have the second biggest selling UK album of the year, with Duffy's 'Rockferry' selling 1.5m to claim the number one spot.

Yet, all was not quite so good for the Queen of Pop, Madonna- her latest single 'Miles Away' is expected to limp into the UK charts at #39. It will be her worst performing single ever and will end her year on a low.

Guy Ritchie Proves He's A Real English Gentleman

As news of the divorce settlement between Madonna and Guy Ritchie whips the media into a frenzy, something more profound appears in this story. Guy Ritchie proves himself as the true 'English Gentleman' because he didn't make the divorce about money, but about the children. Something so often looked over when celebrity couples go their separate ways.

The press have written volumes about Madonna's monetary value and how much they thought Guy would get or ask for in the much publicised divorce, and yet the British movie maker has maintained his integrity, even when the pressure was on. Divorce need not be about taking each other to the cleaners or demanding what is rightfully yours - sometimes it is about agreeing to go your separate ways amicably and peacefully. In this instance it appears Guy and Madonna have put the welfare of their children first, by agreeing they should spend equal time in the UK and US between both parents.

No divorce is ever without it's problems, but it is refreshing when two adults can put aside their differences and see the bigger picture. The same was true in the case of Billie Piper and Chris Evans, where the couple remained friends even after the divorce and Billie refused to divorce over money. While Madonna and Guy may not end up as close friends as Billie and Chris, at least they can hold their heads high, which is more than Heather Mills could do after her bitter divorce with Paul McCartney.

Coldplay look set to steal her crown by the end of the year with 'Viva La Viva', the album went to #1 in the UK and US, selling 2.6m copies in just a few weeks.

Brits are dominating the world music scene this year and X Factor winner Leona Lewis has proved we can make it in America. Her debut album 'Spirit' has sold a staggering 2.4m copies and is currently enjoying chart success in America. The only American in the Top 5 is Jack Johnson in fourth with Welsh sensation Duffy beating Madonna at 5th place with her debut album 'Rockferry'.

Madonna's latest video 'Give It 2 Me' (see video below), has Madonna back at her best. In August the Queen of Pop will be 50 years old but she shows no sign of stopping, having more energy than those half her age. The iconic singer has teamed up with Pharrell Williams and gets raunchy, wearing thigh-high boots, skimpy underwear and a sheer top.

Pharrell Williams once made Madonna cry and said to her 'Oh my God, Madonna has a heart.' but the pair have pulled off a corker of a record with 'Give It 2 Me'. The track is a follow up to Madonna's previous collaboration with Justin Timberlake ('Four Minutes').

Her recent album, 'Hard Candy', has debuted at number one at 27 countries so far including the US, UK, France, Germany, Japan and Australia.

Rihanna Forces Madonna To 'Take A Bow' In Ireland

Rihanna has forced Madonna to 'Take A Bow' from the #1 spot in Ireland, frog leaping four places to claim pole position above the Ting Tings and Usher in the process. Dustin the Turkey enjoyed a mini revival with his Eurovision entry 'Irelande Douze Points' at #8 but suffered an early exit from the Eurovision Song Contest on Tuesday as Europe failed to get the Irish humour.

Last week Rihanna failed to gain a second #1 in the UK singles chart (Ting Tings went to #1 instead) and in Ireland she was only #5, but today 'Take A Bow' became the highest climber in the Irish Top 10 and the new number one. The single shouldn't be confused with the 1984 Madonna single with the same title that only managed 16th and became the lowest charting Madonna track.

In the album chart the Ting Tings had the highest entry with 'We Started Nothing' at #3 while Bruce Springsteen enjoyed having four albums in the Irish Top 100.

Madonna: Hard Candy Goes Top In Ireland

Madonna has gone straight to the top of the album chart in Ireland with her much hyped new album 'Hard Candy', her single '4 Minutes' remained at #2 - still unable to remove 'The Galway Girl'.

The 'Immaculate Collection' album also jumped 57 places as Ireland got a touch of 'Madonna fever' on the back of 'Hard Candy', spending it's 202nd week in the charts at #43.

Meanwhile over in America, Leona Lewis climbed back up to #1 in the Billboard Hot 100, for the third time with her massive single 'Bleeding Love', and her debut album remains at #2.

Puppets Rule Irish Charts

Ireland has got a touch of "Eurovision" fever ahead of the massive event next month. It's surprise entry - a puppet called Dustin, is this weeks highest entry in the Irish charts. 'Irelande Douze Points' is new at number five and looks set to top the charts in Ireland over the next few weeks. Madonna and Justin Timberlake may have topped the UK charts last week but the duo had to settle with #2 as their single '4 Minutes' was unable to knock Sharon Shannon and Mundy's "The Galway Girl" from #1. The single has spent a massive 46 weeks in the Irish charts already.

Last Shadow Puppets

The Last Shadow Puppets, 'The Age of the Understatement' album made an impressive entry at #2, going the same way as The Kooks, 'Konk' a week prior. Both were unable to move Mary Black from the number one position. But it looks like the Last Shadow Puppets are heading for #1 in the UK on Sunday.
