Mel B: "Dancing With The Stars" Confirmed

Mel B is going to have a busy end to the year, as it has been confirmed today that she will be staring in the US hit programme "Dancing With The Stars" as well as touring with the Spice Girls at the end of the year.

It all kicks off on Monday 24th September and the girls will be the first to dance for the nation, the first couple booted out will go home two days later. Dolly Parton will be singing at the first results show and viewing figures are expected to be high for the ABC show.

Scary Spice has been in the news a lot recently (as seen on robmacca's entertainment news) with her secret wedding and her rather public court case with Eddie Murphy. Then it will be a gruelling few months as the Spice Girls dust off their costumes and "spice up" the world with their tour.

Spice Girls World Tour

The Spice Girls are set to announce their "Goodbye" Worldwide Tour on Thursday (28th June) at a special press conference. The media world has long speculated about the return of the Spice Girls and fans have waited since 2000 for any kind of announcement, but now there is a real buzz about the Spice Girls once again. Could it be hip to mention the Spice Girls and not be laughted at?

It is expected that the dates for the World Tour will be announced on Thurday but will be a means of saying "goodbye" properly to the fans rather than a full scale "Take That" type of comeback. A "Greatest Hits" album will be released later in the year and there is now a strong possibility we may get some new final material from the girls that shaped a generation across the globe.

Melanie C had always been the one who was quite happy to leave her Spice Girls in the vaults of history, but in recent times had mellowed out on her views as continuing speculation began to mount. A busy solo career in Europe had kept the one time "Sporty Spice" busy and in no need of a reunion, but a few days ago she announced on her website that she had cancelled all her Spanish media promo dates for next week as she was working on something special. We now know it is the Spice Girls reunion and Melanie is fully on board.


Emma Bunton was snapped by the press this week in London, looking as glamourous as ever - even though she is about to have her first child in a few weeks time. Emma has always been the most enthusiastic for a Spice Girls reunion and has been constantly positive about the whole Spice Girl era. The rest of the Spice Girls will have to put getting pregnant on hold for a while as they spend the rest of 2007 bringing back "girl power" around the globe.

Finally in this round up of Spice Girls related news, the DNA results are back from the lab and it will come as no surprise that Eddie Murphy IS the father of Melanie Brown's two month old daughter, Angel Iris. Melanie has always maintained that Eddie was the father after he sensationally dumped her on Dutch national TV and then claimed that he might not be the father, casting a slur on the Scary one. So far Eddie Murphy has failed to even see his new baby daughter as things turned sour at the end of 2006. It looks like the next chapter in this story will be strung out in a court somewhere in America............

Mel B (Scary Spice) has been pictured in an Los Angeles park this week with a new boyfriend, Stephen Belefonte, according to The Sun newspaper today. As the pictures below show, it was only 6 months previously Melanie Brown was dating Hollywood actor Eddie Murphy. After he sensationally ditched, things turned sour as Eddie then denied being the father of her new born daughter.

According to friends Melanie is delighted with her new fella Stephen, and is looking in great shape considering she just had a baby six weeks ago. The couple were also spotted at Los Angeles Hyde nightclub on Monday looking very cosy together. While the paternity battle looks for a show down in the courts, it seems that Scary Spice has moved on from her relationship with Eddie Murphy. She is quoted as saying to a friend; "The less said about the Beverly Hills cock the better".

Rumours continue to circulate that the Spice Girls will indeed be reforming later this year as The Sun claims they have been offered £1m each. But we've heard that one time and time again.

Mel B To Sue Eddie Murphy

A pissed up Mel B cried, "What are you starring at?" at late night clubbers in London's China White, then was soon spotted crying the night away as she was out with fellow Spice Girl - Geri Halliwell. Melanie Brown has said she will take Eddie Murphy to court over the long running paternity battle of her new born daughter, Angel Iris.

"He's not doing a DNA test and he's not signing the birth certificate", say press reports today and even though Melanie's law team have contacted Eddie's team - there has been no response. So now Melanie is taking it to the courts in order to finally prove Eddie Murphy is the father of her child and should take on his responsibilities as a parent. According to Melanie, he has yet to even see his daughter. Looks like this could turn into quite a block buster.................

Melanie Brown Has a Baby Girl

Melanie Brown gave birth to a a healthy baby girl just after midnight at a hospital in Santa Monica. The former Spice Girl and new daughter were said to be doing fine, a spokeswoman said:

"The baby is completely healthy with a good head of hair. Mother and baby are now resting.
No name has been decided on as yet, and she is purely known as Baby Brown."

The pregnancy has been over shadowed by the very public break up between Mel B and Eddie Murphy, as he denied being the father and dumped Melanie via Dutch TV. Friends of Scary Spice said she was fuming and will yet get her revenge, which could mean selling her story to the highest American bidder if she wanted.

The new baby will have plenty of company around the home with Mel's eight-year-old daughter, Phoenix Chi.

Mel B: Baby Shower Party

Melanie Brown has been proving she is still very much the Scary Spice Girl she's always been, by hosting a lavish Baby Shower Party at a top Beverly Hills hotel last Friday.

Around 30 invited guests were there as Melanie not only showed off her impressive bump but also saw her cake that was made for the occasion. It was quite fittingly a mothers bump dressed in a leopard skin - her trade make covers while in the Spice Girls.

Among the guests were Melanie's mother who has flown over to be with Melanie, who will be giving birth in the coming weeks. Guests were also treated to expensive bottles of Dom Pérignon champagne. Absent from the party was Eddie Murphy of course, who is busy with new girlfriend Tracey Edmonds. It looks like we won't have to wait much longer now to find out if Eddie Murphy is the real father of this child, as a paternity test is now just a few weeks away as this nine month saga draws to a close..............

Mel B Hounded by Murphy Fans

Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) has been put under 24-hour police protection after being hounded by obsessed Eddie Murphy fans.The former Spice Girl, who split up from the comedy star last month, is facing daily abuse from a group of fans camped outside her LA home, according to The Sun.

Although she spent last week living with her parents in Britain she has recently returned to her besieged house.A friend of the star told The Sun:

"She is extremely lonely in LA, and her life is being made intolerable by Eddie's fans camped outside."

They shout insults and give her abuse all the time. The police have decided to place an officer outside to keep an eye on things. She was living with Eddie before all this happened and spent her time with him - now she's all alone.

"She can't understand why he hasn't even bothered to phone and explain what's going on. Mel is incredibly hurt by it."

The source added: "So far Mel hasn't been thinking about money - and reports that she is going to tell all on US TV are just nonsense. Mel just wants to hear from Eddie before she does anything so she can decide what to do about her future and that of their baby."

The twists and turns of this Spice Girl continue to unfold but at least the majority of the public and press back Melanie.

According to Closer magazine, Melanie Brown is said to have confided in friends saying that she wasn't a big enough star for Eddie Murphy - and that's why he dumped her. A pal is quoted as saying:

"Mel feels she's been given the push because she isn't A-list enough for Eddie in Hollywood.She may have been a big star in Britain, but in the States she's an unknown.



Mel knows that Eddie is desperate to make a movie comeback in Hollywood. She believes she has been sacrificed for the sake of his career."



The source went on to say: "She's totally devastated by all of this. Her world has been torn apart."



Eddie's sources are quoted as saying: "Eddie started dating Mel about two months after he divorced and he regarded it as a rebound fling. He thinks she took the relationship more seriously than he did and was stunned when she told pals they were planning on getting married."



The source concluded: "Eddie's family were wary of Mel because things had moved so fast. When she announced she was pregnant, they liked her even less."

A while back robmacca reported how Melanie Brown (Mel B) was spotted arm in arm during a weekend out in London. Now the News of the World is reporting that Melanie was dumped by Eddie Murphy because he found out she went on a "date" while in LA last month.

Apparently, Eddie hired a team of detectives to tag Melanie. They then handed him a dossier showing Mel had been on secret date. Melanie hit back by saying:

"It just goes to show how desperate Eddie has got. I may have met another man for entirely innocent purposes, but I was always faithful to Eddie. He is the father of my baby and he knows it".

How true any of this story is, remains an unsolved case that even Sherlock Holmes might have trouble solving!

Scary Bites Back

Scary Spice, Melanie Brown is back and ready to strike out after Eddie Murphy very publically showed they had split, then denied he could be the father on dutch TV, as this blog has been reporting all week.

It's not only the press who have been in a frenzy about the story, but Mel B is said to be "furious" at the way Eddie made it public. The drama unfolded yesterday as photographers started a fight as Melanie was leaving a Beverly Hills restaurant. The paparazzi scrap was caught on video by TMZ.com and can be seen here:

Meanwhile the newspapers are full of stories that Melanie is prepared to bite back and is set to "take Eddie to the cleaners".

The Sun says that Melanie: "spent yesterday in Los Angeles locked in meetings with top Hollywood lawyers to decide who is best to represent her." She is reported to have told a friend:

"He's going to get a shock if he thinks I'm taking this kind of treatment lying down.
He's a cheating, lying scumbag - he's the father of my baby and he knows it."

The Mirror took a different angle with the headline "I'm Beyond Gutted" and a story that supposes Mel only found out when friends text her phone as she flew back to the US this week after a wedding in the UK at the weekend. A friend is quoted as saying:

"Mel's beyond gutted. She was set to marry this guy and now he's knocked the wind out of her."

On the net MSN News it is reported that Melanie's publicist, Nadine Bibi gave a statement on her behalf saying:

"There is absolutely no question that Eddie is the father."
