Coventry City Football Club may have damaged any remaining hope of having a good year in the Championship Football Leauge after sacking their manager Micky Adams (pictured left), following 8 games without a win. Currently 16th in the table, Coventry have gone from heading for the play-offs to fighting relegation in a manner of weeks. But sacking Adams, in my humble opinion may have a longer negative effect.
Wrexham Football Club seem to be hitting the rocks this week as they lose one of their best player in recent years, Darren Ferguson, who has gone on to become Peterborough's player-manager. This follows hot on the heals of Denis Smith's shock dismissal from the club. Added to a miserable set of football results landing them 4th from bottom and 1 point from the relegation zone the Coca-Cola Football League Two. Lets hope caretaker boss Brian Carey (pictured left) can turn things around in a few weeks like he's hoping or its the end of Wrexham as we know it.
*Wrexham are my other football club, which I've "supported" since I was a kid - because my mum was from there.
Andy Murray (left), holds the hopes for British tennis fans as he plays in the Australian Open tomorrow against Rafael Nadal at the Rod Laver Stadium in Melbourne (oh yes, I've been there watching other British playes Tim Henmen and Greg Rusedski). Andy is yet to drop a set but this will be his toughest game yet as this is the first time he has been up against Nadal.
I'm not even going to mention the cricket........................
