 Fears over the health of Susan Boyle were laid to rest as the Britain's Got Talent runner-up received a standing ovation in Birmingham on Friday night. It had been touch and go as to whether the 48 year-old singer would be fit enough for the live tour after collapsing after the final of Britain's Got Talent, due to exhaustion.

It had been touch and go as to whether the 48 year-old singer would be fit enough for the live tour after collapsing after the final of Britain's Got Talent, due to exhaustion.Blowing a kiss to fans and performing 'I Dreamed A Dream' and 'Memory' from the musicals Les Miserables and Cats respectively, Boyle received a standing ovation following her performance at the National Indoor Arena just after 9pm. Susan is expected to appear on other dates in the nationwide tour, but will take it day-by-day before deciding if she is able to perform.
