DVD sales have fallen in the UK for the first time ever as the public tighten their purse strings during the difficult economic times. With the demise of Woolworths and Zavvi customers are finding it harder to purchase the latest DVD's and may be turning to internet piracy.
Last year retail sales for DVD's topped 253m but this will be a hard target to beat in 2009 as sales have already fallen 10% for the first five months of the year.
