Kasabian Confirmed For Glastonbury

Kasabian have been confirmed as performers at this year's sold out Glastonbury Festival, they will be performing on the Pyramid Stage on Saturday 27 June - just before Bruce Springsteen's headline show.

The Leicester lads release their third album 'West Ryder Pauper Lunatic Asylum' earlier in June and will be joined at the annual festival at Worthy Farm by Blur, Neil Young, Doves, White Lies, Echo & The Bunnymen, Fleet Foxes, Lily Allen, Florence & The Machine and Emiliana Torrini. Other acts such as The Specials and The Noisettes are also rumoured to be appearing at Glastonbury.

Last year the festival caused a storm by having Jay-Z as the headline act and ticket sales were slower than normal but Michael Eavis has promised a return to rock 'n' roll as the big names are being brought in to save the massive event. Having sold out already, Eavis has managed to upset a few local residents by withdrawing a number of free passes. This has been due to boundary changes and Michael explained, "a small percentage of people who have in the past got free tickets are now being offered the option of Sunday tickets."
