This year's Godiva Festival in Coventry will see Scottish indie rock band Idelwild headline the free festival on July 4. The band will be releasing a new album in the summer and are well known for their previous chart hits "You Held The World In Your Arms" and "American English" in 2002.
Idelwild have developed over the years since their first singles in 1997, growing in popularity and credibility and will headline on the main stage on the Saturday evening. The festival will run in Coventry’s War Memorial Park from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th of July 2009.
Previous high profile acts seen at Godiva Festival include The Enemy, The Human League, Kasabian, Super Furry Animals, The Fratellis, Shed Seven and Biffy Clyro. More acts will be revealed in the coming days.
