American Rapper Bow Wow is set to retire from the music industry at the tender age of 22 as he wants to focus on his acting career instead. He told Contactmusic, "This is my last album because for me, there's no more that needs to be done on the music side, I've done everything."
Although Bow Wow (formerly Lil' Bow Wow) has not been well known in the UK (only Top 20 single 'Like You' charted at #17 in March 2006), he has been very successful in the US where all six studio albums have been well received. The young rapper hit the headlines long before his first album at the age of thirteen, Dr Dre had signed him up at the age of seven and Bow Wow also performed with Snoop Dogg.
Recently Bow Wow has been busy with his acting career and was featured on Entourage as Charlie an up and coming comedian, he has a part in Hurricane Season due for cinema release this year. Not bad for a 22 year-old - enjoy your retirement Bow Wow!
