Scooch may well be representing GB at this years Eurovision Song Contest with their high camp song "Flying The Flag", but robmacca couldn't resist having a bit of fun while out at friends this week.

A Eurovision conversation and a few classic GB winning YouTube videos later - led robmacca and his friend Clare to make a fun copy-cat video on the spot. Enjoy the video and don't forget the Eurovision Song Contest is on BBC1 Saturday night......................

The countries that didn't get through the semi final were:

Israel, Cyprus, Iceland, Montenegro, Switzerland (my favourite!), The Netherlands, Albania, Denmark, Croatia, Poland, Czech Republic, Portugal, Norway, Malta, Andorra, Estonia, Belgium and Austria.

The results have shocked the Western European countries as NO traditional Western European country made it through the Semi Final stage and several favourties went out of the contest on Thursday night.

The final on Saturday night looks like being a very good Eurovision for Eastern European countries. Maybe the West could gang up and give the UK "12" points and bring some respectability back to the contest!

The Comeback

It was raining outside so I was having a lazy day off and ended up watching 6 back to back episodes of "The Comeback" staring Lisa Kudrow. To start off with I thought it was an awful American version of "The Office" and I was judging the character based on her role in "Friends" as Phoebe.

But the longer I watched it, the more drawn in I got. I know it was slated in America and soon ditched by the networks but I kind of like it as a spoof reality programme. I'm not sure if any UK channels have it yet but the first 6 episodes are available on Virgin Media's TV on Demand service.

Stuart May Stunt Show

The Stuart May Stunt Show was a great way to spend Bank Holiday Monday, even if it did mean I had to venture out and face the extra long traffic queue. Thanks to my Lituanian friends Vilimas, Evaldas and Julius, the afternoon was a real treat. It was my first time at such an event and another demonstration of the vast variety of entertainment Coventry provides as a city.

Marc's fans have unique style.

Saturday saw Marc Almond perform the second of his three night musical extravaganza at "Wilton's" - the world's oldest surviving grand music hall.

Around 200 fans were present for, what turned out to be an intimate personal presentation by ex- Soft Cell singer Marc Almond. Celebrating his 50th year (and looking damn good for it as well!), and the long awaited new album "Stardom Road" (out 4th June).

This was my first experience seeing Marc perform, I'd never been a fan if I'm truly honest, but my friend Kevin is a big fan - so Kully, Nana and I went along with him. The new album will be Marc Almond's first since his almost fatal motorcycle accident in 2004, where his career almost prematurely ended.

What followed was quite a magical night of simple vocals set to a piano, harp, and accordion as Baby Dee joined Marc on stage at this majestic music hall. In between songs Marc interacted with the audience and usually gave a detailed introduction to each song.

Koventry Kidnap Kommando

The past few days have been hectic socially, so I've not had time to do my usual blogging or online reading.

Part of the week was spent hosting Miriam, who had flown in from Asia and was on her way home to Switzerland. She had an exciting plan while here and was on the same wave lenght as myself, when it comes to doing wild things.

The video below was recorded on Thursday and has Miriam dressed as a Russian spy, on a mission to "kidnap" a guy called Ben. Miriam's plan was to take him back to Switzerland with her on Saturday.................................

Holiday Weekend

It's been a busy week, as I've been hosting a girl from Switzerland for a few days and now I'm about to head off to London as part of my holiday weekend. Meeting up with friends and going out to a special gig tonight.

BBQ on Sunday and lazyness on Monday............... Holiday weekender all sorted.

Mel B To Sue Eddie Murphy

A pissed up Mel B cried, "What are you starring at?" at late night clubbers in London's China White, then was soon spotted crying the night away as she was out with fellow Spice Girl - Geri Halliwell. Melanie Brown has said she will take Eddie Murphy to court over the long running paternity battle of her new born daughter, Angel Iris.

"He's not doing a DNA test and he's not signing the birth certificate", say press reports today and even though Melanie's law team have contacted Eddie's team - there has been no response. So now Melanie is taking it to the courts in order to finally prove Eddie Murphy is the father of her child and should take on his responsibilities as a parent. According to Melanie, he has yet to even see his daughter. Looks like this could turn into quite a block buster.................

Arctic Monkeys - Favourite Worst Nightmare

The Arctic Monkeys "Favourite Worst Nightmare" went straight to the top of the UK albums chart this week, to become the fastest selling album of the year as it outsold most of the Top 20 albums put together. Following up their record breaking debut album Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not was never going to be easy, but the Arctic Monkeys have delivered a superb second album.

From the opening single track "Brianstorm" to the closing number "505", the distinctive sound of the Arctic Monkeys comes through loud and clear - all without compromising them as a band. Earlier pre-album press reports had indicated this album was very different from the first, which could have been worrying for fans - yet "Favourite Worst Nightmare" delivers everything you have come to expect from Sheffield's finest.

This album should go on to become one of the best selling albums of the year and will no doubt bag the boys some more awards to add to their growing collection. For us, the listening public - we get to add a quality album to our collection.
