Another crazy alcohol filled weekender, this time in Brighton - a perfect chance to catch up with a lot of friends I hadn't seen in a long time as Sabrina celebrated her 21st birthday. It was a fun couple of nights, including staying out til 6am Saturday at some student house playing a "I have never" game, it's a bit like truth or dare but without the dare!
It was good to see Sabrina,Mike, Will, Helen and Sophie again as well as going out for a meal with my old friend Fizz. It's only a week until I'm back in Brighton to see The Ripps at Pressure Point............
Here is a video of Muzz performing during the "Open Mic" night.

Godiva Festival 2007: The Enemy and Super Furry Animals
Last year The Enemy opened the festival but were virtually unknown back then, but in the space of one year they have gone from strength to strength. As well as scoring a #8 hit with "Away From Here" , Tom , Liam and Andy have been touring non-stop during 2007. Their album "We Will Live and Die in These Towns" will be released on Monday 2nd July and expectations will also be running high for the second single "Had Enough", which will be out Monday 25th June.
Local bands will also have the chance to perform and more acts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Coventry City 1987 FA Cup Final - Home coming Video
I was a cocky 18 year old and I didn't really understand what it all meant as I'd never been to a football match in my life at that point. For me at 18, it was all about drinking, mates and trying to climb the career ladder as I worked in a supermarket called Gateway in Holbrooks.
Now watching this video for the first time today, brought a tear to my eye, because it reminded me that I was there outside the Council House trying to make my own way home after that Sunday morning overtime shift. Then the sheer volumes of people (estimated 250,000) meant I couldn't go home so had to stand and watch Coventry City Football Team make their way onto the balcony to the raptures of the fans and city that were so proud.
Another reason for feeling quite emotional at watching this video, is because 20 years later I am older and hopefully more wiser. I am proud of the city I was born in, work in and will die in. I'm proud of our past in the FA Cup Final of 1987 and also for all this great city of Coventry has achieved in my life time.
No longer do I think as a child but I've learnt to value more the things that really matter, I've learnt that happiness can come outside of the rat race to make lots of money and have a job title that looks important. The simple things like friends, culture and being free to be myself far out strip the "need" to live in a fancy house or drive a flash car or even to be "seen" to be someone socially.
It's funny how a video like the one above , can put 20 years of living back into perspective!

Girls Aloud "Greatest Hits" Tour

Mel B: New Boyfriend?
Eddie Murphy and Melanie B - November 2006
According to friends Melanie is delighted with her new fella Stephen, and is looking in great shape considering she just had a baby six weeks ago. The couple were also spotted at Los Angeles Hyde nightclub on Monday looking very cosy together. While the paternity battle looks for a show down in the courts, it seems that Scary Spice has moved on from her relationship with Eddie Murphy. She is quoted as saying to a friend; "The less said about the Beverly Hills cock the better".
Rumours continue to circulate that the Spice Girls will indeed be reforming later this year as The Sun claims they have been offered £1m each. But we've heard that one time and time again.

The DenDen Meet Up
It was a great reunion for many in the group and the night's highlight was when we all took over the bar as the Spice Girls/solo Spice collection came on and we all went wild on the dance floor!
Oops, sorry Jessy - I took an awful picture of us!
Carl is on top form during the whole night.
Carl, Jessy and Tamir - looks almost like the "Forever" cover!
Dee gets romantic with Chris.
Angie and Marc - "Angie is #1".
Lee, on the way to the nightclub.
Tamir on the way home.
......... and finally he's asleep!Eurovision Song Contest FINAL Result 2007
