No-one was more talked about than Susan Boyle, she became an overnight sensation as she became a hit with the judges, audience and the viewers. Millions of hits on YouTube and becoming a TV star in the United States seemed to seal Susan Boyle's fate. Bookies had her as the favourite to win, the newspapers were full of stories about her and the pressures of the final week but ultimately it was the general public who would have the last say as they cast their votes in the millions.

The real reason Susan Boyle lost Britain's Got Talent was because we love losers more than we do winners and while Diversity were no losers, the voting public just couldn't vote Susan Boyle to win because they already felt she had won - thanks to all the additional publicity generated by her previous performances. Although Susan had initially struggled (that is why she won our hearts), by the final she already had it all. Everyone knew she would become a massive star so it was time to give someone else a chance.
