Top 10 UK TV viewing figures for week 2, from #barb  8th - 14th January 2024.

Gladiators returned to UK television and was an instant winner for the BBC, previously a popular ITV Saturday night entertainment show. The Traitors helped the BBC to dominate the Top 10 this week, while ITV enjoyed continuing success with Vera.

ITV's Mr Bates vs The Post Office became the most watched programme on UK TV during the first seven days of the New Year, causing quite a stir in the media as the nation talked about the scandal. The Masked Singer and Vera helped ITV lead over the BBC - which had to contend with 4 programmes inside the Top 10.

BBC1 dominated the Top 10 over the festive period with favourites Dr Who, Strictly Come Dancing and Call The Midwife all riding high. ITV's Vera was the sole entry for the final viewing figures of 2023.
