Eurovision: "We Are The Winners"

Lithuania - LT United - "We Are The Winners"

Eurovision wouldn't be Eurovision without songs like this:

"We are the winners We are, we are!
We are the winners We are, we are!
We are the winners of Eurovision
We are, we are! We are, we are!
We are the winners of Eurovision
We are, we are! We are, we are!
So, you gotta vote,Vote, vote for the winnersVote, vote, vote for the winners"

I'm predicting a good finish for the Lithuainian entry this year as this song is fun and catchy. I had it on repeat in my car today as I shouted out the simple lyrics from above. Possibly this years Eurovision anthem?

Not sure the video link will work but give it a try:

Lets hope this excellent Euro track can get Lithuania through the semi final next Thursday!

Girls Aloud - GQ Magazine

Without a doubt, Girls Aloud are Britain's hottest girl group as this GQ magazine photoshoot demonstrates. I just had to buy it and add it to my little Girls Aloud collection (includes all 5 FHM covers with each of the girls on).
I'm not interested in the magazine itself but I will read the article and look at the pictures!

It's just over two weeks until I go and see Girls Aloud LIVE in Birmingham so I may be on a Girls Aloud high over the next few weeks.....................................

Eurovision is coming...........

With less than 2 weeks til the Eurovision Song Contest Final, I hope I get more excited than I'm feeling at the moment. Normally by now I've watched all the video's, listened to the songs and viewed all the galleries on the official website.
I seem to be so distracted this year, but I have ordered the CD and will get the DVD when it comes out. Going to the Take That and Girls Aloud concert's later this month seems more important this year..................

Crossroads Day Out - Review

As you can see from the select pictures in the posts below, we had a fantastic night out in Scunthorpe because the "Cindy Marshall Day" meet up went really well.
The soap opera had brought together a collection of people from all over the country and we got to share this special evening with Tracey Booth (Cindy Marshall Day).

Cindy was so down to earth and very sweet with us all and gave us her full attention all evening, I liked the way she was natural and yet glamorous.

A big well done to Michael and the crew who worked hard to make the evening a success and kept our Crossroads memories alive. What a day to remember.............

Crossroads Meet Up

Not many of you will know about "Crossroads", it was a soap opera set in the West Midlands from 1964 til 1988. It came back in 2001 til 2003 before finally being axed. I've been on the forum for about 8 months but don't post that often but enjoy the forum with it's banter and retro Crossroads talk.
Well, today we are off to Scunthorpe for a "Crossroads" meet up. There will be lots of champagne and lots of fun I'm sure. You only live once, so you might as well do things you wouldn't do.

Robin Red Breast

Every winter Robin Red Breasts can be seen across the United Kingdom, but you have to look hard as these beautiful birds fly away before we humans can get too close. But I have seen quite a few recently on my post rounds and I have to say - they truly are marvelous creations!

Time For Shorts

No, I'm not about to parade about in THOSE kind of shorts! I don't think my employers would be very pleased, even though one or two of my customers might like it. Oh my.......... imagine if I did wear those shorts on my post round! *drifts into fantasy land*

Several hours later robmacca returns to finish this topic:

Today will be the first day I wear my shorts on my post round and it means there will be chicken legs out walking in the streets of Coventry. Come rain or shine, for the next 6 months my legs will be exposed. Thankfully not as exposed as the picture above, they will be inside my Royal Mail blue shorts - with nothing being exposed to the poor unsuspecting public.

Sunbathing in my garden is another subject, best saved for another day I think! *winks*
