Riding Boris!
My friend Chris (*waves) very kindly took me for a spin, and i mean spin in his excellent mini called "Boris". Not only does the car look great, it feels great - especially going around along the roads.
A few shocked faces as we spun and whizzed around the corners - what a laugh we had!
Thanks Chris - your a star.
P.S. - I didn't dare drive Boris as I was too scared I'd damage him in some way, but after seeing your driving ...........I'm quite tame !!
The Wedding
The wedding details are way too confusing to Blog it all so here's a snapshot summery..............
I used to help run the youth group and Sunday School that the bride was part of. Then about 13 years later while at university meets a guy who is over from India studying. They fall in love and got married yesterday - it made a very multicultural wedding as his parents flew over from New Dheli and we saw a fusion of Christian and Hindu cultures at the church reception.
Oh and I look scary in the suit cos I took the picture when I got home!

The Brit Award Effect
The Brits has had a dramatic effect on the UK Album chart this week, the whole Top 10 was Brit influenced.
New comers winner Arctic Monkeys held on to the #1 spot for a fourth week. Multi Brit winners Kaiser Chiefs climbed back up to #2, with their album which has had chart domination for almost 1 year. Surprisingly, James Blunt dropped a place at #3 - but this may have been because the DVD came out, so would have affected sales.
Even Kanye West climbed back up the album chart and re-entered the Singles chart with "Gold Digger".
The Brits may have faltered in the viewing stakes but it has still been a triumph for the music industry as well as British music.
Ashley Cole In Drunken Sex Fun?
http://x4.putfile.com/2/4912122512.gif
Even as we speak, the British public are talking non-stop about a newspaper story that has revealed the drunken antics of two top Premiership footballers. It is alledged the two footballers got drunk, stripped down to their underwear and one performed a blow job on the other. one of the footballers is supposed to have put a mobile phone down his pants while the other called him so it vibrated. It is claimed they both have girlfriends and has publisheda photo, without revealing who the football star's name. But internet sources can reveal that the picture matches to a certain Ashley Cole - the boyfriend of Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Tweedy.
It all makes interesting reading as it may have happened long before the couple started dating and it sounds like a lads drunken night out, not a gay romp as the papers seem to be turning it into.
Here is an extract from one of the stories:
Player A—a household name who has a reputation as a rebel on and off the pitch—shoves his mobile down his boxers. He performs a sex act with it which is too obscene to be described here.
Then Player B calls his number to make thephone vibrate. Player A is also pictured on the bed while Player B—a multi-million pound goal-scoring mid-fielder—kneels to perform oral sex on him.
Meanwhile the music man can also be seen leaning over the pair, kissing and caressing the footballers, who play for different sides. he source who handed us the graphic images said:
"Fans would be stunned if they knew who the players were. "Both have had girlfriends and one is still in a relationship. If anything they are known as ladies' men—lads who like chasing skirt at nightclubs. They're always in the papers with some glamorous girl or another. Never in a million years would you think they'd be involved in anything like this."
The sordid sex session took place in the flat of one of the players. The source added: "They all stripped down to their vests and boxers—not exactly the sort of gear you'd just sit around in for a chat. And then they're in the bedroom and it all kicks off.
"Soon it was like something out of a hard core porn film. "
One (Player A) lay on the bed while his mate (Player B) knelt down beside him and gave him a blow job. Soon his (Player A's) face was contorted with pleasure. "When all this was going on, the music bloke was leaning all over them both, kissing and stroking every bit of flesh he could get to.
"Then (Player B) got up and went over to the other side of the room to change the music they were listening to. "While he was doing it (Player A) got his mobile phone out and you can see him pushing it down his shorts. "You can see he's urging (Player B) to ring him. He must have had the vibrate alert on. (Player B) then gets out his phone and rings him again and again while (Player A) closes his eyes."
In the set of images Player A seems to be the leader in the hardcore sex games while the music man is mainly content to watch. "They were so relaxed with each other it looked like this wasn't the first time," said our source.
Let the rumours continue, I'm sure there are lots of stories like this up and down the country when lads go out for a drink. I don't think either of them has to be gay just because they had some "fun" but we'll never know................ or will we?
Brokeback Macca
Following along the excellent award winning "Brokeback Mountain", I've bought myself a rather unusual jacket, while I was in Brighton recently. The hat belongs to Alex, but I put it on to give me that "cowboy" feeling.
I'm not sure we'll be seeing the jacket out much, I think it was one of those spur of the moment purchases!
Hey - now I feel like a right gay cowboy.........................

BAFTA Award Winners 2006
Brokeback Mountain wins 4, Memories of a Ghisa wins 3 and Crash win 2 BAFTA Awards.........
*From MediaGuardian:
BBC1's Bafta Film Awards coverage attracted just 3 million viewers and a 12% audience share between 9pm and 10pm, according to unofficial overnights.
When coverage resumed after the BBC1 10pm news, the remainder of the show drew 2.9 million viewers and a 16% audience share between 10.15pm and 11.20pm.
But the movie awards' ratings decline has been swift and precipitous - two years ago it attracted 5.7 million viewers and a 24% audience share.
Last year the ceremony moved from its normal Sunday night berth to Saturday evening, drawing 4.4 million viewers and a 20% audience share.
Also intesting to note that the Brits hardly won an award this year - apart from the British Film catagory and some actree that wasn't even born in the UK. But it's good that the Bafta's awarded films on their talent not on their country of origin.

Las Ketchup to represent Spain at Eurovision
According to the website Vertele, the Spanish Broadcaster TVE selected the song performed by Las Ketchup in order to represent Spain at the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest in Athens, Greece. TVE have not yet commented on the information.
Las Ketchup consists of three female sisters (Pilar, Lola and LucÃa Muñoz) from Cordoba, who recorded a big hit three years ago with the song "Aserejé". According to vertele.com, it seems that the title of the Las Ketchup song is Bloody Mary, which is also the title of their second album produced by Manuel Ruiz, who also composed the hit Aserejé.
Red Hot Chilli Peppers
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced the dates and venues for their summer UK tour. The shows are as follows:-

The RHCP are coming to my city in the Summer and I'm concidering going, but £40 a ticket means I'll have to think about it first. It's not everyday we get such great acts here in Coventry but thanks to the new Ricoh Arena we're getting more acts coming here. Last year it was Bryan Adams so lets hope we see alot more coming our way in the months ahead.

Brighton Week
Last week was a nice relaxing week away in Brighton, pity it is the middle of the British winter, but it was still good to unwind and have a bit of fun. The three pictures above show Alex in a rather rude looking pose (ok, we were very drunk!), the second picture is of Alex again - still drunk and the final picture is of myself (robmacca) looking all mean and moody!
Girls Aloud Pictures
They may not be at this years Brit Awards but here is a selection of Alex's pictures of Girls Aloud at the record signing we went to in the summer in Birmingham! Memories..............

The Brits Are Coming...........
And of course, we can expect a blistering set from Paul Weller, the deserving recipient of this year’s Outstanding Contribution To Music award. With 28 years of classic tunes to plunder, from his Jam, Style Council and solo sets, the Modfather is sure to celebrate in style.
With Chris Evans hosting the show for a record-equalling fourth time, and more huge acts to be announced in the run up to the show, 2006 promises to deliver yet another BRITs night to remember.
He may be ginger and called Chris Evans but this Thursday sees Britain's premier music Awards event in London. I'm looking forward to The Brits 2006..............

Where Are They Now?
3. Those wierd books with the dots in:
4. E.T. :
5. Emma Bunton:
Where are they now?
I've always wondered what became of the Ra Ra Skirt that took the world by storm c.1980, worn by almost every girl then suddenly it just vanished............
Everyone was concerned about finding Wally in those pictures but have we just given up looking?
Whatever became of those multi coloured books they used to test to see if you were colour blind?
Then poor old E.T. wanted to phone home in the movie but why has he never returned? Is he scared of bumping into Drew Barrymore?
Finally, the lovely Emma Bunton from the Spice Girls - took a trip over to America about a year ago to promote her music, and hasn't been seen since!
Come back Emma we love you,
Come back ET we adore you,
Come back dots we need to erm............ see stuff,
Come back Wally we need to find you,
Come back Ra Ra we need to smile again!

Kandyfloss - "I Want It Right Now"
http://knd.org.uk/don/Kandyfloss2.mp3 Kandyfloss 'I Want It Right Now' (Chantelle on CBB, solo)
http://knd.org.uk/don/Kandyfloss.mp3 Kandyfloss 'I Want It Right Now' (backing girls only on BBLB)
Chantelle, the winner from this years Celebrity Big Brother in the UK, is all set to make between £1 - £2m following the hype at her non-celebrity status becoming the runaway success with the public.
It seems a done deal now that we will be seeing Chantelle in record shops up and down the country with her made -up band Kandyfloss (with a K of course!) and that famous make believe track "I Want It Right Now".
Already alot of speculation is hitting media circles this week about the future of Chantelle and the direction she will take following her massive popularity during Celebrity Big Brother.
It was also good news for Channel 4, who celebrated 7.5m viewers during the final nights show (up 11% on last years final) and watched by 40% of the available audience at that time during its peak.
Overall CBB was watched by 4.5m (19%) over the 23 days, up 2% year on year and shows that there is alot of life left in the Big Brother format for a few more years to come.
You can hear both versions of the live song in the links above.

Censorship - How far is too far?
http://www.elmundo.es/elmundo/2006/01/31/internacional/1138693206.html
http://www.magazinet.no/default.asp?menuid=&linktype=2&linkid=22190
Since the 12 cartoons were printed we have seen hysteria from certain Muslim circles. While we need a balance in society of respect and tolerance, we also need to value the freedom of choice and right to express ourselves.
On one hand I can see why pictures depicting religious leaders in an unflattering light could be offensive I also find hackers attacking the website of Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten for publishing the pictures as outrageous.
The Swiss daily "Le Temps" also printed a selection of the drawings.
In an editorial, Patricia Briel argued that "freedom of the press and freedom of speech are fundamental achievements made by democratic societies, and the latter do not have to bow in the face of demands that endanger these hard-won principles.
"One can certainly regret that these caricatures have offended Muslims, because it is legitimate to want respect for religions. But it would be dangerous [if], in its name, one limits the liberties that we cherish."
Meanwhile the Norwegian Christian newspaper "Magazinet", which had printed the drawings in January. The Nordic country closed its offices in Gaza City after a dozen gunmen surrounded EU offices, threatening the lives of Norwegian, Danish, German and French citizens if the countries did not apologise.
Elsewhere in France, the owner of "France Soir" sacked its managing editor after the paper printed the 12 drawings in one of it's editions.
I don't see the need for the pictures to be endlessly republished around the world, yet I do object to the extreme reactions and the injection of "fear" into those who dare publish them.
While the Muslim world looks on with outrage, it sees no harm in publishing cartoons that may offend those that see them (as in the example seen here on such sites as http://aljazeera.net/ ).
Double standards are indeed everywhere and freedom of choice is only a perception. We see what we want to see, while ignoring other items that don't suit our thinking.

Music: Sneaky Cheryl Tweedy
An interesting Girls Aloud , Cheryl Tweedy story from: http://www.femalefirst.co.uk
"Girls Aloud beauty Cheryl Tweedy used to sneak out of her parents' house in the middle of the night to meet up with boys.
The beautiful brunette revealed she used to go to bed in a skimpy outfit and then quietly slip away in the early hours to see her male admirers.
She said: "My friend and I used to go to bed fully dressed, then these boys would throw stuff at the window at 2am to wake us up and go out."However, Cheryl - who is engaged to Arsenal football ace Ashley Cole - was eventually caught in the act by her mother.
The sexy singer admits her mum blew her top and gave her a slap to teach her a lesson. She added to Britain's Top of the Pops magazine: "One time my mum caught us and nearly took my head off my shoulders."

New Hair?
Within the next week I am getting a new hair cut but at the moment I am unsure which direction to take.
For the past year or so I have been growing it as the first picture shows, but as you can see - it can get in my eyes and in my way. I'm having to wear a hat when out delivering the mail to stop it blowing about. But I really like having it long , when i go out and make an effort with my hair.
But maybe I should have it cut short and put up with the fact I'm losing it and put up with a bit of a "slap head" look - at least it will be tidy and ready for the warmer weather. Or do I just have it trimmed and go for the 2003 look as seen in the 3rd picture?
I've got just a few days to make up my mind............... Any comments on the subject are welcome!
New Mobile (again!)
It's been just one year since I bought my last phone as reported on this very Blog: http://robmacca.blogspot.com/2005/02/my-new-phone.html
But a year is a very long time in the world of mobile phones. Alex and Martin and various others already have this mobile the Samsung D600, and I know I'm already going to be behind the times but I have just ordered my phone from O2.
I don't know if I'm being foolish or wise here cos it is actually going to cost me £70, but they will be reducing my monthly bill by £5 each month, so in a years time it will have cost me just £10. But is that £10 too much, when online I could have got it FREE on their website http://shop.o2.co.uk/shop/o2uk/jsp/handset/ViewHandset.do?menu=y&prodID=consumer:SAM:D600:Online200:Package&ref=Main_D600_mod_img
But the deal would have meant £30 a month and a choice of either:
Inclusive Call minutes any network1
300 or 400
Free Text2 Messages
750 or150
Inclusive browse and download
1.0Mb
Depending on which option I chose but by staying on my current plan I will be paying £20 per month (£20 is what 'll be paying from March) and get 500 text/multimedia messages and 500 minutes plus internet time - this suits my needs down to the ground so I'm happy with my choice.

Violence
I was driving to work about 04:15am yesterday and saw two guys fighting another guy in the middle of the road, it shook me up because I felt powerless to stop them. Yet my conscience wouldn't let me just go past and do nothing, so I phoned the Police and reported it. Thankfully they already knew about it and knew the exact location and were on their way to stop this cruel violence.
What was equally worrying was a postie friend at work got beaten up as he walked into work. A car pulled up and 3 men got out and beat him up for no reason whatsoever.
Violence is an act that can leave lasting physical scars and emotional scars on those who are at the receiving end. They say we live in a civilized world, yet where is the sense in kicking someone's head in?
Ok rant over.
